Some Good News and Some Bad News.

Maddie and I headed out after church yesterday as planned. I ate entirely too much food at our 4th of July meal. My dessert plate was about the same size as my hotdog and hamburger. Thanks to those who made special desserts for me.

The good news: We have made pretty good time. We are almost in Peru. Not that Peru! I didn’t think Maddie would have driven that far while I was asleep. Our gas mileage has been better than expected. The bus didn’t pin Maddie to the center barrier. The eighteen wheeler didn’t run me off the road. We both would have been in bad shape if not for the emergency lanes.

The bad news: Through not fault of her own, PB&J has caught a bad case of SBS (Saggy Bottom Syndrome). we have grossly overloaded her to the point of scrubbing the back tires when we hit large bumps. I haven’t figured out why, but it seems to scrub more when I’m in the back sleeping. Surely it isn’t because I weigh more than Maddie. I think we have a solution when we stop by my buddy’s house in Utah in a week and a half.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

May we always be great full for God’s blessings!
