Working on the house?

Home for a month?

Christy’s Jeep will be our house for The Last Hurrah trip, and it needed a ton of modifications to be somewhat comfortable. We have been working on it for a few months. In this picture, we had just added the awning. This will serve as a cover for our pullout kitchen and shade for the Utah sun that will be beating down on us.

We finished sewing the cushions for the beds this week, but we still have a ways to go before it’s camp worthy. Next on the list will be the pullout drawers for storage.

For those who don’t know, I’ve had both shoulder s repaired in the past, and I can’t lay on my side for more than an hour or so at a time. We designed the build out with my “old folk’s” near zero gravity bed position. It took a lot of our storage away, but there was no way I was going to make it a month without making it where I could sleep.

Proverbs 3:24 when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

The “old folks” bed should provide comfortable sleep for me, but to have sleep that is truly sweet, I must find rest in the Lord.
